Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account data — your email address and password. Passwords are stored as a one-way bcrypt hash; we never store or have access to your plain-text password.
• Content you save — if you save a chord sheet, we store the image you uploaded, the chords detected in it, any corrections you make, and your chosen key/spelling/text-size settings, tied to your account.
• Technical/infrastructure data — our hosting providers (Microsoft Azure and Neon) may retain standard infrastructure logs (e.g. request timestamps, IP addresses) as part of normal operation and security monitoring.
• Cookies and local storage — a single non-personal cookie remembers your language choice. Your login session and theme preference are stored in your browser's local storage, not sent to us as cookies.

What we don't do

We don't run analytics or advertising trackers on this site, and we don't sell or share your data with advertisers. We don't use your uploaded images or chord data for anything other than providing the transpose/save feature back to you.

Third parties we use

• Microsoft Azure — hosts the application.
• Neon — hosts the database (accounts and saved sheets).
• Resend — sends password-reset emails on our behalf; only receives your email address when you request a password reset.

Deleting your data

You can delete any saved sheet at any time from your Saved Sheets page. There is currently no self-service account-deletion option — email support@zoundchord.com to request full deletion of your account and associated data.

Children

This service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
